FAQ
Q1:How should I format my new SSD before using it with this hub?
A1: Please format your new SSD in "exFat" format before use
Q2:Do the USB-A ports on this hub support charging devices? Or are they only for data transfer?
A2: All USB-A ports ONLY support data transfer, DO NOT support charging and do not support CD readers, Apple SuperDrive
Q3:Why does this hub only have USB 2.0 ports instead of faster versions like USB 3.0 or higher?
A3: The design with ONLY USB 2.0 ports is to solve the issues of WiFi interference.
Q4:What happens if this product uses all HDMI and audio ports on the Mac Mini M4 and the hub at the same time? How do I set up the audio output correctly?

This dock does exactly what its supposed to do. Installation was quick, and the NVMe slot recognized my drive immediately with no driver fuss. Read and write speeds are consistent with other reviewers results not quite full Gen 3 speeds, but plenty fast for Time Machine or everyday file storage.
Works as expected
I had one of these for my former target M1 MacMini. I recently both the M4 and needed this because the machine was so much smaller. This base fit perfectly and was plug & play (no software or driver needed). It provides USB-A ports which the M4 does not have. I also added aa 2Tb chip to it and use it for Time Machine backup. It all works together like the part that Apple forgot to build. Totally satisfied.
Ive used it for a few months, and I havent had any issues with it at all. The data transfer speeds are as expected, it doesnt result in undue heat buildup in the Mac Mini, and I appreciate that I can still get to the under-side power button with ease (is isnt necessary all that often, but easy when needed.) Im happy with it.
Great purchase. It serves its primary purpose and it helps to reduce clutter on my desk.
This item is great you dont need to touch the M4 just push the start buttom. which is located just under the cut of the dock.
Works great and great design
Fast delivery, great design, easy access to the on-off switch of the Mini Mac, and extra storage upgrade mine to 2TB. Working as a photographer, it easy access to the SD reader on the front.
Great value, adds additional connections. I added an additional internal SSD and works as a great backup. Size and color match the Apple Mac mini.
